I particularly love kids when the love me back, but I'm still surprised when that happens. (That's just the way I am)
I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but I have a particular soft spot for all things 'Spongebob Squarepants', and this is often a reason kids like me. How can you not like an adult who watches a childish kid show?
Over the years I've received a variety of little gifts left for me at the church (work), from both adults and children alike, of some kind of Spongebob paraphernalia. And I try to keep them on display as long as possible without looking completely unprofessional (although, I'm not particularly concerned about it.)
Yesterday I had a call from a congregate about some other business. As our conversation was winding down she says "Oh ya ..... Zack and I were in the toy store on the weekend."
Zack is her 9 year old son, and one of my fav' kids.
She continues "Zack saw a 'Spongebob Lego set' and said "LJ WOULD LOVE THAT!! Can we buy it for her?"

Of course her answer was no, as it came with a $50 price tag. I completely understand of course, but his unselfish, childlike response was absolutely priceless to me.
It made my day, and I can't wait to see Zack on the weekend.
How was your week?
